Aldi to open new Northallerton store this December – here’s when

The new store on North Moor Road will open its doors at 8am on Thursday, December 11.

Customers can visit from Monday to Saturday from 8am until 10pm, and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. The store will be managed by Ste Atkinson, who will lead a team of 25 staff members.

Paralympic gold medallist, Jamie Stead, will attend the opening to cut the ribbon and give away free bags of fruit and veg to the first 30 customers.

Wheelchair rugby star Jamie said: “I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store; it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of ParalympicsGB.”

Store manager Ste Atkinson added: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Northallerton.

“It’s set to be a special day and having Paralympic hero Jamie Stead join us will make it a morning to remember.”

Aldi has also called on local charities and food banks in Northallerton to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations.

Charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables, and baked goods, seven days a week.
